The Herne Hill Society, PO Box 27845, London SE24 9XA

Herne Hill is an area of south London that corresponds to the postal district SE24. Our Society was founded 30 years ago. It is an independent charity funded by our members and democratically run by elected volunteers.

We:

* Organise a monthly programme of talks on topics of local interest
* Publish items of local interest on the web and in Herne Hill magazine – free to members
* Investigate and record local history
* Promote improvements to local amenities
* Monitor planning applications and local developments
* Publish and sell books and maps about Herne Hill and neighbouring areas
* Exhibit at the Lambeth Country Show, Lambeth Archives Day and other local events
