St John’s Waterloo

Our historic Grade II* church reopened in October 2022 after being restored and transformed by Eric Parry Architects. As a magnificent place of worship and one of the best performance, event and meeting spaces on the South Bank, we can now fulfil our commitment to be here for everyone.

St John’s is a well-known London music venue and runs the annual Waterloo Festival of arts, heritage and community every May and June. Now we’re building a year-round programme that will encompass world-class classical musicians, jazz, folk, pop, avant-garde and experimental performances, art, sculpture and installations, the spoken word and many other as yet to be imagined events.
